A man was found dead floating in the breakwater of Baseco in Tondo, Manila on Monday, August 13. Reports on the ground say the man was carried away by the heavy current on Sunday night amid heavy monsoon rains. Residents in the area said the man was a seaman apprentice.

A 25-year-old bridge in Alfonso, Cavite used as a shortcut to Tagaytay City remains unpassable after it collapsed on Saturday amid the heavy downpour.
