Two down, two to go

It's Waratahs vs Highlanders just now, before the Lions take on the Jaguares at 15:05 SAST.

We'll have all of the Ellis Park action live, as South Africa's final Super Rugby shot goes for a spot in the semi-finals.

See you then.

Crusaders win, Sharks are KO'd

Ouch.

40-10 is a right old thumping in a quarter-final and it's hard to argue with the margin.

It's a chastening scoreline for the Sharks to head back home with, delivered by a side with two more gears to click into when they need to.

The second quarter gave the South African side some hope following a rough opening 20 minutes.

But points either side of half time and an 80 minutes littered with errors left them with nowhere to go.

We're seeing out time

78' And the Crusaders are already thinking ahead to a home semi-final next weekend.

Try Crusaders!

73' Game very over.

Peter Samu strolls in after Sam Whitelock (wisely) chooses not to go himself.

It came from a tap penalty deep inside their own half, with the Sharks left chasing shadows.

Try Crusaders!

69' Game over.

It's a lovely try, finished by the pace of replacement Braydon Ennor down the left.

Kieran Read set it up with a smart pass and wily support run to create crucial space for the youngster.

It's a travesty

61' Sort of.

No TMO for this game, which pretty much sums up the inconsistency of Super Rugby as a whole.

They can't put the big screen up because of the wind, apparently.

Anyway, the Crusaders are playing the ball on the ground but not spotted by ref Fraser. It allows them to clear and end 16 phases of Sharks pressure.

That was daft

57' How frustrating.

Hands in the ruck right in front of the poles and Mo'unga bangs over to extend the lead beyond two scores.

Crunch time

55' 13 points remains the difference, so it's time for try machine Makazole Mapimpi to make his mark off the bench as he replaces Van Wyk.

Cameron Wright is on for Schreuder. 25 minutes to bridge the gap.

Three more for the Sharks

49' Du Preez further extends his lead at the summit of the 2018 Super Rugby point scorers table.

A straightforward penalty that reduces the gap to 13.

Try Crusaders!

44' More line-out woe for the Sharks and it's a dream start to the second period for the Kiwis.

An almighty gap opens up in the pack for Bridge to zip through, with Matt Todd the main beneficiary as he crosses the line with the Sharks in disarray.

That's a ten-point swing either side of the break in less than three minutes of play.
