Year 11 students received wonderful news as they opened their GCSE results envelopes today.
The issues of the past two years including remote learning and COVID-19 restrictions where soon forgotten as students digested their results and realised that their hard work and efforts had been rewarded with amazing results.
Keerthana Appandairaj and Emily Darlington achieved eleven level 9 grades, Samantha Skerry achieving 10 level 9s and Henry Thompson a total of 9 level 9 grades this year.
With examinations back for the first time since 2019, students continued to improve and performed very highly once again.
Most students achieved the top grades of levels 7 to 9 which will help set them up for the next sage in their learning; either joining other students in the Sandringham Sixth Form or moving on to college or apprenticeship.
Alan Gray, headteacher, said, "We are really proud of all our students today.
"They have been incredibly supportive of each other throughout and embraced not only their studies but also the wider aspects of the curriculum such as sport, the Arts and Duke of Edinburgh scheme.
"They have been rewarded for their hard work and effort with many truly outstanding results which will result in our largest ever sixth form.
"Well done everyone and a very big thank you to our talented staff who helped students achieve so well today."
