Students from SNC looked at ways to spot the signs and symptoms relating to mental health during lessons. Learners were also given tips on what to do to help people in need of support.

Elsewhere, the human resources team hosted a ‘tea and talk’ session over lunch to highlight the importance of wellbeing and mindfulness.

And the student services department had a display in The Learning Curve that promoted support books as well as local and national charities like MIND.

Sue Althorpe, the college's health and social care tutor said: “As a college it’s important we get behind campaigns like this. The message we say to our students and staff is that if you are having problems, this is nothing to be ashamed of and there is always someone you can talk too.”
