France defended and counter attacked all night, and pretty much cruised to victory against a toothless German attack. And the most anticipated game of the Euros so far was... a dud.

France are denied by the offside flag again! Pogba releases an offside Mbappé on the counter attack and Mbappé gives Benzema a tap-in, but the goal is called off by VAR. 

Kylian Mbappé scores a brilliant goal after taking Joshua Kimmich for a dance and finding the bottom corner, but he was offside when receiving the pass from Pogba and the goal is called off. 

Back underway in Munich!

France gave Germany the ball and counter attacked, and their plan worked thanks to a bad own goal by Hummels. The Germans are yet to bother the French defense, and their attack has looked quite slow and stale so far. To be generous, this has not been the greatest game in the world after 45 minutes.

France take the lead! Pogba switches the play to find Hernández, who crosses the ball into the six-yard box and Mats Hummels tries to clear it but finds the back of his own net! 

As expected pre-match, it's a back three with Kimmich and Gosens as wingbacks, Gündogan and Kroos in the base of midfield and Müller and Havertz in behind Gnabry.

Griezmann is on the right wing, Mbappé on the left with Benzema up front. A bit of a surprise not to see Griezmann more central.
