Ecuador dominated the first half and took a two-goal lead, and just crusied in the second half as a clueless Qatar side offered no challenge all night. It's a winning start for the South Americans, and a terrible debut for the host nation in front of the home crowd.

Not much has happened in the second half as Ecuador are happy to give the ball away and defend their lead while Qatar try to create but haven't done much so far.

Ecuador totally dominated the opening 45 minutes and could have easily been up three goals if not for a very questionable early offside. Qatar look second best in every department and must find a way to raise their levels in the final period.
