Man Utd fans demand player is sold after 'selfish' post-match Instagram story

Man United fans have seen enough after a player posted a cryptic Instagram story following tonight's well-fought 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town.

Down to 10-men just before half-time, United had to battle for three points but were well-worthy in the end, courtesy of a dogged second-half performance and a brilliant Harry Maguire header to seal the deal.

However, following the match, fans have been left angry at Alejandro Garnacho's 'cryptic' Instagram story.

Garnacho was subbed following the red card of Patrick Dorgu and fans think he's venting his frustration on the social media platform.

A popular response to the image stated:

"Someone said it perfectly about Garnacho

"Garnacho doesn't want to be on a winning team, he wants to be the reason his team wins"

A second fan added:

A third Red Devils fan even stated: "Nah get him gone honestly."

The Premier League Match Centre have issued a statement on the Patrick Dorgu red card v Ipswich Town.

The VAR hub have since addressed the decision, taking to X:

Fans demand Man United bring one player back after watching first-half v Ipswich

Fans have demanded Man United bring one player back after watching the first-half v Ipswich.

After a calamitous error between Patrick Dorgu and Andre Onana for the away opener, United stuck together and surged to a quick turnaround courtesy of a Sam Morsy own goal and Matthijs de Ligt close range finish.

Dorgu was then sent off for a rash challenge on Omari Hutchinson, before another error led to the second goal for Ipswich's Jaden Philogene.

Fans have had enough of keeper Onana though and have spoken out on X to bring back a club legend: David De Gea.

A second stated: "It must be the biggest downgrade."

Another added: "United really replaced De Gea with Onana?"

Erik ten Hag says modern players can't take criticism and find it 'offensive'

Erik ten Hag has said that modern players can't take criticism and find it 'offensive'  in a new interview following his sacking at Manchester United.

Sacked by the Red Devils in October, his tenure included several well-documented disputes with players and the Dutchman has since spoken to SEG Stories about what the 'modern player' does not like.

"This generation usually find it difficult to deal with criticism. Criticism really gets to them.

"The generation that I grew up in had much thicker skin. You could be much more direct.

"I was approached much more directly. If I would do that with my current group of players I would demotivate them.

"If you do that to the current generation they find it offensive."

Ten Hag does not directly name who he is referring to.

The Dutch coach clashed with several players at Old Trafford, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Raphael Varane.

In a recent interview, Varane said that Ten Hag had fallen out with many United players before he left the club.

“I was surprised he stayed. The connection with the group no longer existed,” the former Man United defender told the Athletic.
