Liverpool have been handed a huge Carabao Cup final boost as another Newcastle United star will be missing the clash.

Anthony Gordon is suspended after his red card in the FA Cup v Brighton, whilst Lewis Hall was ruled out as per reports last night.

Alexander Isak also limped off in the cup clash, and tonight a breaking from Craig Hope of Mail Sport has stated that defender Sven Botman is set to miss the vital cup final.

The player is set for a knee operation and will see a specialist shortly.

A nightmare for Eddie Howe's side.

Fans are all saying the same thing after Ibrahima Konate survives ‘blatant’ red card

Fans are all saying the same thing after Ibrahima Konate survived what has been described as a ‘blatant’ red card.

In a first-half largely dominated by the home side, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia had a goal ruled out for offside, before a hugely controversial moment between Konate and Bradley Barcola.

Konate tackled Barcola, with fans adamant a red card should have been given, even going as far to say the club are 'protected' by referees.

A second added: "Another decision Liverpool have got away with again!"

A third remarked: "Liverpool are the luckiest team this season!"

Why Cody Gakpo isn't even on the bench for Liverpool clash vs PSG

Liverpool attacker Cody Gakpo has not been named on the bench for Liverpool for tonight's clash at Paris Saint Germain.

It is understood that he misses out due to a knock sustained in training.

Despite travelling with the squad to Paris, he does not even make the bench.

‘He was close to being ready to play again, but unfortunately yesterday I think it was, he had to block a shot so he felt a bit of pain again,’ Slot previously said.

Ruben Amorim names remarkably small Europa League squad as two star players ruled out

Manchester United's injury woes have severely impacted their Europa League squad as they name a threadbare squad to take on Real Sociedad.

Ruben Amorim's side will travel with just 18 players, despite competition rules allowing them to have up to 12 players on the bench.

Amorim will settle for just seven, some of which are youngsters.

The Europa League is United's only chance of silverware this term after Fulham knocked them out of the FA Cup at the weekend on penalties.

During the week, Harry Maguire and Manuel Ugarte were also ruled out due to injury.

Lisandro Martinez is a long-term absentee but the latest setbacks mean the United backline is set to be weakened further.

Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount are all still out but youngsters Ayden Heaven, Harry Amass and Toby Collyer will all be named, either to start or as substitutes.

Sociedad on the other hand have received a boost with several of their players returning to full fitness just in time for the showdown.

Every Premier League player out of contract this summer revealed in fresh report

A full list of Premier League players who are out of contract this summer has been revealed and there are some big names that could move as free agents at the end of the season.

There has been much talk over Liverpool's situation throughout the season. They may be top of the league but their starting eleven could look very different next season if they fail to tie players down.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are all out of contract this June.

All three have been offered lucrative contract extensions but none have agreed terms.

However, it doesn't stop there for Liverpool as Andy Robertson, Ibrahima Konate and Caoimhin Kelleher are all out of contract soon.

Their Merseyside rivals Everton look to have a huge summer rebuild on the cards with 14 members of the squad out of contract.

Among them are Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and Idrissa Gueye.

The club have an option to extend Doucoure’s deal by a further year, but Calvert-Lewin has left a new contract offer — submitted towards the end of last season — unsigned.

Arsenal are focused on trying to retain Jorginho and Thomas Partey who are out of contract this summer, while Chelsea are one of the only teams that seem to have their house in order with no players out of contract.

Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim is hoping for a rebuild in summer though funds are limited.

The four players out of contract this summer have been on the periphery of Ruben Amorim’s squad, so none would be expected to have extensions offered.

Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans, Christian Eriksen,  and Tom Heaton could all be on their way in summer.

So much, the club have broken a record described as 'remarkable' - they have become the first ever team to score SEVEN goals in an away knockout CL leg.

Staggering stuff.

What Arne Slot allegedly said to referee Michael Oliver after heated Everton Liverpool clash

The Times Martyn Ziegler has reported that the FA have shared what Arne Slot told Michael Oliver after the Merseyside derby.

Slot allegedly shook the referee's hand and said:

"If we don't win the league, I'll f*cking blame you."

It's then alleged that Slot said to the assistant referee that it was a "f*cking disgrace".

Slot argues that he didn't say the above. Instead he claims he said:

"If we don't win the league, I will have you to thank for that."

Slot does not dispute saying "f*cking disgrace" to the Assistant Referee.
