Liverpool parting ways with Nike to sign a multi-year deal with Adidas

Liverpool have announced a new deal with Adidas for their kits.

Adidas will take over when Nike's contract expires this summer.

Liverpool have previously worked with Adidas from 1985-1996 and again from 2006 to 2012.

Liverpool are believed to receive £30m per season as a result of the deal. They will also receive royalties on all sales of club merchandise.

Mikel Arteta storms out of interview after question about the title race

Asked on Sky Sports whether he regrets not signing a striker in the January window, Arteta responded: "Nah, it's not about that."

Arsenal’s draw and what it means for when Liverpool can win the title

Arsenal have dropped points in their quest for the Premier League title after a 1-1 draw at Manchester United.

It could have got much worse as Rasmus Hojlund didn't convert two late golden chances - before David Raya provided a point blank save to prevent Bruno Fernandes from sealing the deal in the very last minute.

The news, however, is good for Liverpool fans and Arne Slot.

Liverpool now need 16 points to official confirm the title, which would take them from the current 70 to 86 - that's five wins and a draw in their final nine games, as per Sky Sports.

Roy Keane names the one Man United starter he is 'not convinced' by

Roy Keane has highlighted the one United star he is ‘not convinced’ by in a scathing assessment of Ruben Amorim’s side.

The Red Devils are currently facing Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal but ahead of kick-off, Keane who was joined by Paul Merson, Jamie Redknapp and Gary Neville, shared his thoughts on Sky Sports.

He listed several problems that Amorim needed to address before saying he is still ‘not convinced’ by first choice goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Keane said: “The club’s problems have been well-documented. The problems, there’s been no real reaction to the new manager coming in. Results haven’t been great. A few injuries.

“They don’t look like they’ve got many goals in them. Not great at set pieces. They don’t look very dynamic. Still not convinced with the goalkeeper.

“We keep discussing this every time we focus on United. So many problems. But they have to try and get some belief, confidence back into the group. Find something from within the dressing room.”

Erik ten Hag signed Onana, 28, after previously coaching the shot-stopper at Ajax.

The Cameroon international cost Man United an initial £43.8 million, having starred at Inter Milan.

However, Onana has had a mixed spell with the Reds, struggling for consistency and coming under heavy criticism for some of his performances this season.

Last season he played 51 games for the club and so far this term he has played 37 times across all competitions.

It has been speculated that Onana could leave at the end of this season, as Amorim looks to rebuild his squad.

Arsenal given major boost as star player returns to squad for Man United clash

Arsenal have been given a major boost as a star player returns to the squad for the Man United clash.

Gabriel Martinelli returns to the bench in a time of need for the Gunners, with the full squads as follows below:

Arsenal handed huge double injury boost ahead of Man United clash

Mikel Arteta has been handed a huge double injury boost just hours before his side take on Manchester United in the Premier League.

Gabriel Martinelli has travelled with the Arsenal squad for their match against Manchester United.

Arteta acknowledged last week that Martinelli was progressing well but added that the player is 'still a bit far from coming back'.

The expectation was that a return would happen following the upcoming international break.

Footage posted on Saturday night appears to show the Arsenal squad arriving at Manchester Piccadilly train station that same evening.

The 73-second-long video of players and staff in team tracksuits are seen alighting a train and walking down the platform just after 7pm.

Martinelli seems to be among the group, with one viewer commenting underneath the post, "Is that Martinelli I see?" to which celebstarclips, the account who originally posted the clip, replied: "Yes".

Despite the apparent return of Martinelli to the travelling squad, there is no suggestion the winger will play at Old Trafford.

Bukayo Saka is also due to return from injury around the same time as Martinelli which will delight Gunners fans after initial fears that he would be ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Saka has missed 16 games after he required surgery on his torn hamstring.

When Liverpool can be crowned champions as they extend huge lead

Liverpool extended their huge lead at the top of the Premier League after coming from behind to comfortably dispatch Southampton 3-1 - on Saturday at Anfield.

Now 16 points clear of Mikel Arteta's Arsenal, it seems like a matter of when Arne Slot's side will be crowned champions of England.

And Slot's men could be champions in only two more games - should results go their way.

78 points could be enough to win the league and if Arsenal lose all their next four matches, then Slot could claim the title against Fulham - which is the first weekend of next month.

The Reds already possess the record for the fewest games needed to win the title, winning after only 31 games in the 2019/2020 season.

Man United open talks to sign highly-rated Premier League striker

Manchester United have reportedly opened talks to sign one of the Premier League's most in-form strikers.

14th in the league, the Red Devils are already looking at bolstering their squad for the summer and have turned their attention to Crystal Palace's Jean-Phillipe Mateta, as per L'Equipe.

It's understood that Palace value the attacker at £40m.

Kobbie Mainoo to reject Man United and seek transfer abroad, according to reports

Kobbie Mainoo is poised to reject a new Man United deal and seek a move elsewhere, according to a report from The Guardian.

United are reportedly open to selling the England international - despite the fact he has two years left on his deal - in order to aid their finances.

Mainoo is currently valued at £70m, and has been in prolonged negotiations with the club about a new contract, but has yet to reach an agreement.

The midfielder, 19, has made 60 appearances for the Red Devils and scored six goals. He played a key role in the team's FA Cup final win over Man City last year, and was a starter for England at Euro 2024.

Chelsea are among the clubs interested in signing Mainoo, according to reports. The midfielder, however, is said to prefer a move away from England should he leave Old Trafford.

Major Premier League side have Alexander Isak on their radar for summer transfer

Alexander Isak is a sought-after striker this summer and major football journalist David Ornstein has dropped the latest update on the player.

Speaking in an 'Ask Ornstein' session with The Athletic, he has offered the latest update on the Newcastle United attacker:

"Liverpool will obviously have multiple options on their radar, but the only name I've personally heard of so far - which others have already reported - is Alexander Isak."

If teams are prepared to make major offers, conversations are to be had, but the Reds will not engage in a 'wild goose chase', as per the source.
