Roy Keane has highlighted the one United star he is ‘not convinced’ by in a scathing assessment of Ruben Amorim’s side.
The Red Devils are currently facing Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal but ahead of kick-off, Keane who was joined by Paul Merson, Jamie Redknapp and Gary Neville, shared his thoughts on Sky Sports.
He listed several problems that Amorim needed to address before saying he is still ‘not convinced’ by first choice goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Keane said: “The club’s problems have been well-documented. The problems, there’s been no real reaction to the new manager coming in. Results haven’t been great. A few injuries.
“They don’t look like they’ve got many goals in them. Not great at set pieces. They don’t look very dynamic. Still not convinced with the goalkeeper.
“We keep discussing this every time we focus on United. So many problems. But they have to try and get some belief, confidence back into the group. Find something from within the dressing room.”
Erik ten Hag signed Onana, 28, after previously coaching the shot-stopper at Ajax.
The Cameroon international cost Man United an initial £43.8 million, having starred at Inter Milan.
However, Onana has had a mixed spell with the Reds, struggling for consistency and coming under heavy criticism for some of his performances this season.
Last season he played 51 games for the club and so far this term he has played 37 times across all competitions.
It has been speculated that Onana could leave at the end of this season, as Amorim looks to rebuild his squad.
