Bruno Fernandes casts Man United future into doubt as he suggests club could cash in

Bruno Fernandes has cast his Man United future into doubt following last night's Europa League final loss.

Spurs triumphed over United to win their first trophy in 17 years as they beat a lacklustre Man United team who failed to create much over 90 minutes in Bilbao.

Following the game, Fernandes spoke candidly about his future at the club.

He said: "I have always been honest.

"If the club thinks it's time to part ways because they want to do some cashing in or whatever, it's what it is.

"Football sometimes is like this. I've always said I will be here until the club says to me that it's time to go.

"I'm eager to do more, to be able to bring the club to the great days. The day that the club thinks that I'm too much or it's time to part ways, football is like this, you never know it.

"But I've always said it and I keep my word in the same way."

Speaking on the result, he said: "It's very sad. We wanted to win this final more than anything.

"It's a very sad day because we've done some very good things in this competition until today.

"But today was the day that mattered, the most important day of the competition. It was the day we could have been in the history of the Europa League, but it's not like that.

"And football is cruel, and it's been our turn to lose. The players have said that this season has been unacceptable."

Alejandro Garnacho puts United future in doubt as he takes sly dig at Ruben Amorim

Alejandro Garnacho has put his Man United future in doubt while taking a sly dig at manager Ruben Amorim following the club's Europa League final defeat to Spurs last night.

Spurs triumphed over United to win their first trophy in 17 years as they beat a lacklustre Man United team who failed to create much over 90 minutes in Bilbao.

Following the final whistle and the crazy celebration for Spurs, United winger Garnacho spoke after the game during which he cast his United future into doubt.

He said: "Until the final, I played every round helping the team… then the final arrives and I play 20 minutes?! I don’t know.

“The final, the season, the whole situation of the club… I will try to enjoy the summer and then we will see what happens”.

This sentiment was then backed up his brother who equally said the same thing.

Taking to Instagram his brother Roberto wrote: "Working as no-one else, helping every round, coming from two goals in the last two finals, just to be on the pitch for 19 mins and get thrown under the bus."

With Garnacho already heavily linked to an exit in January, this could be the final straw.

Frosty stuff in Manchester.

Ruben Amorim addresses Man Utd future after Europa League final loss

Ruben Amorim has addressed his Man United future for next season when asked in his post-match press-conference.

Asked if he believes he's still the right man for the job, Amorim instilled that he was, stating:

"In this moment, I am not going to be here defending myself, is not my style.

"I cannot do it, is really hard for me. So I have nothing to show to the fans to say I am going to improve because of this, I had these problems, I will not do nothing.

"In this moment, it’s a little bit of faith. So let’s see. Like I said before, coming here before in the flash, I am always open. If the board and fans feel that I’m not the right guy, I will go the next day without any conversation about compensation.

"But I will not quit again. I am really confident in my job and, as you can see, I will not change nothing in the way I do things."

Mo Salah speaks out after Spurs beat Man Utd to Europa League title

Mohamed Salah has spoken out after Spurs beat Manchester United to the Europa League trophy.

Alejandro Garnacho shares cryptic post just hours before being dropped

Alejandro Garnacho shared a cryptic Instagram post - just hours before it was announced he would be on the bench for the Europa League final clash.

Coming as a major shock to all fans, the Argentinian international did not start the Spurs trophy-decider in Bilbao.

Now, the photos posted have resurfaced, which can be viewed below:

The two photos are from United's 2-1 FA Cup final Wembley triumph over arch-rivals Manchester City 12 months ago, a game in which Garnacho scored.

Despite no caption posted, one fan didn't take the post well, stating:

"He’s such a sore loser, man plays for himself not for the team."

Gaffer Ruben Amorim instead made the choice to start Mason Mount, who bagged a brilliant brace in the semifinals of the competition at Old Trafford.

However, after travelling with the United squad to Bilbao, Yoro starts v Spurs.

Man United and Spurs fans engaged in violent brawls in Bilbao ahead of final

Man Utd and Tottenham are set to play against each other tonight in the Europa League final in Bilbao, with a place in next year's Champions League at stake.

Thousands of fans have made the trip over to Spain for the showpiece event.

Footage has surfaced on social media of a brawl between Man Utd and Tottenham fans on the eve of the final.

Authorities were alerted at around 9.20pm, after violent behaviour was spotted on Fermín Calbetón Street.

Eyewitnesses allege that the situation escalated when two rival groups of supporters started to trade insults.

The streets of Bilbao descended into chaos, as fans started throwing punches and objects, including a wheelie bin and drinks.

One fan even overturned a table to use as a weapon before the police deescalated the situation.

Despite the mayhem, no arrests were made, although police remained in the area.

An ambulance was reportedly on standby, and 'several people' were treated at the scene, but no one was taken to hospital.

Spurs force Man United into Europa League final kit change following 64-year-long tradition

Man United have been forced into a kit change by Europa League final opponents Tottenham Hotspur thanks to a 64-year-long tradition.

With Spurs designated the home team, some slightly confusing changes have been made to both clubs' kits to make sure they can both sport their home strips tonight in Bilbao.

Man United said in a statement that they would be sporting their usual red home kit shirt, but with black shorts instead of the usual white variation.

Eagle-eyed United fans will have noticed that their team have twice worn the outfit against Everton and away to Real Sociedad this season.

The reason they have been forced into this change is due to a 64-year-old tradition Spurs have of playing in all white in European competition, despite wearing dark shorts in the league this season.

Because of this change, United will not be able to wear their white shorts as well, meaning The Red Devils will revert to the darker black alternative. United confirmed this alteration in a statement.

It read: "We can reveal Ruben Amorim’s side are due to wear our red shirts, with black shorts and black socks.

"The last time we turned out in this combination was in the away tie at Real Sociedad in the same competition, when Joshua Zirkzee’s goal earned a 1-1 draw on the road.

"Our starting goalkeeper is set to wear all green.

"Ruben’s charges were also decked out in the same set of colours for the 2-2 draw at Everton, but that is the only time that has been the case this term."

 Simple...

Three Man United players return to training a day before Europa League final

Manchester United have received a huge boost after three key players returned to Manchester United training today.

Sky Sports shared a clip of Leny Yoro, Diogo Dalot and Joshua Zirkzee training with the first team at Carrington.

It is unsure what role the players will have in tomorrow's Europa League final in Bilbao against Spurs, however, their presence will be a boost to the team.

Zirkzee is returning from a month long while Dalot and Yoro were both injured in recent weeks.
