Premier League club ‘closing in’ on signing of Liam Delap

A Premier League club are now reportedly closing in on the signing of Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, who has a £30m release clause following the relegation of the Tractor Boys.

The likes of Everton, Chelsea and Man United have all expressed their interest in the 22 year old attacker this summer after a stellar season in which he bagged 12 goals and 2 assists.

Now, it is Chelsea that are reportedly close to the signing, with United's lack of European football a weakening factor for the Red Devils.

Newcastle United and Everton have also held talks with the player, but the Englishman is leaning towards the Blues, as per Ben Jacobs.
