📍 Day 5 — 21 KM

Status: Wet, cold, but still moving forward.

Heavy rain all day made this a tough one. I arrived in Eggedal thoroughly soaked — backpack damp, shoes full of water, and most of my gear needing to dry out.

The plan was to sleep in the tent tonight, but I made the smart call to get dry and reset. So I’m staying at Eggedal Borgerstue for the night. It’s not what I pictured, but I’ll thank myself tomorrow when my shoes aren’t freezing and soaked.

Tomorrow, it’s back to the long haul. More distance, more steps, same purpose.

💛💙 I’m doing this to support local journalists in Ukraine — those who report in the middle of war, keeping communities informed even through destruction and fear.

Day 4
My favorite Song

II’d also like to share my favorite song with you. It’s called "in the End" from Linking Park and its really powerful and keeps me going even when I’m feeling like a pub and a cold beer would be the perfect treat.

My favorite podcast during my walk

When I’m out and about, I love to listen to a podcast. Right now, this one is my absolute favorite. It’s got me feeling super inspired!

Which podcast is your go-to these days?

Day 2: Meeting with Ringerikes Blad AS
Day 1: 40 KM, Lets go!

📍 Storflåtan, outside Hønefoss

🕐 Day 1 – 40 KM Completed

Just wrapped up the first day of the journey — 40 kilometers behind me, and I’ve arrived at Storflåtan, just outside Hønefoss. Legs are okey, but spirits are high. The weather held up, and the trail gave me plenty of time to reflect on why I’m walking.

While I’ve been putting in the steps, journalism in Ukraine hasn’t paused for a second. In places like the Sumy region, drone attacks and shelling continue — and yet, local journalists are still out there reporting. Their resilience is nothing short of incredible.

📰 Here are two recent reports from the ground:

🔗 “У Лебедині другий день ліквідовують наслідки атаки дронів”

🔗 “Руїни, вирви та сітки від дронів — що відбувається у Хотіні”

That’s who this journey is for — independent regional journalists in Ukraine, the ones who keep telling the truth under impossible conditions.

🟡 Stay tuned for more updates tomorrow.

We Are live! Ready for the walk

Ready from the Royal palace in Oslo. Lets go!

Weekend with Preperation. IM READY!

As I prepare to walk 450 km from Oslo to Bergen in support of Ukrainian journalists, I spent this weekend in the forest — testing my gear, sleeping under the stars, and thinking about those I’m walking for.

The goal is to be physically and mentally ready.

But while I was out there preparing in peaceful Norwegian woods, the people I’m walking for — regional Ukrainian journalists — were once again under attack.

That same night, Oksana Brovko, CEO of AIRPPU, shared a harrowing post:
Explosions outside. Children awake. Families sheltering in hallways. It was the largest drone attack in their area yet.

That’s the contrast.
I trained in safety. They worked and lived under threat.

Preperation for the Walk

Backpack packed and ready — about 20 kg! I’ve trained with a larger pack, but now I’m debating if a smaller, lighter one might be better. This weekend’s test walk will be the big trial: gear check, comfort test, and a chance to see if the weight is too much.

Feeling strong and super motivated — this walk is a tribute to Ukrainian journalists risking everything to report the truth. Honored to support them.

Donations are now at kr 3,410 — almost 10%! Thank you so much for the support. More updates after the test walk!
