'Dodong' keeps strength as it exits PAR

PAGASA says Tropical Storm Dodong maintains its strength while outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Based on its 5 p.m. weather bulletin, Dodong's center was found 305 kilometers west of Sinait, Ilocos Sur.

Moving southeastward slowly, it has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

'Dodong' intensifies into tropical storm; habagat to bring gusty conditions

"Dodong" further intensifies into tropical storm while it strengthens the southwest moonsoon that will bring gusty conditons to many parts of Luzon and western Visayas, according to the state weather bureau.

'Dodong' to intensify into tropical storm before it exists PAR

Tropical Depression Dodong maintains its strength over the West Philippine Sea west of Ilocos Region while the enhanced southwest monsoon continues to bring significant amounts of rains within the next three days, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

'Dodong' maintains its strength over West Philippine Sea West of Ilocos Region

Dodong, the tropical cyclone that has been hovering over the West Philippine Sea, continues to retain its strength, PAGASA says.

According to the 5 a.m. weather bulletin, the center of Dodong's eye was estimated to be 270 kilometers west of Sinait, Ilocos Sur.

It has maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph.

Dodong is moving westward at 20 kph.

There are no tropical cyclone wind signals raised in any areas.

Tropical Depression Dodong has gained speed and continues to progress in a westward direction while moving over the coastal waters of Laoag, Ilocos Norte, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

Based on its 5 p.m. weather bulletin, Dodong's center was estimated to be over the coastal waters of Laoag, Ilocos Norte, with peak winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 75 kph.

'Dodong' accelerates westward, reaches coastal waters of Laoag, Ilocos Norte

PAGASA reports that Tropical Depression Dodong has gained speed and continues to progress in a westward direction, currently positioned over the coastal waters of Laoag, Ilocos Norte.

Based on its 5 p.m. weather bulletin, Dodong's center was estimated to be over the said coastal waters. The tropical depression maintains maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near its center, with gustiness reaching up to 75 kph.

Dodong is moving at an accelerated speed of 20 kph in a westward direction.

Tropical Depression Dodong continues to keep its strength as it moves into the vicinity of the Cagayan area, the state weather bureau said.

LIST: Flights canceled on July 14 due to ‘Dodong’

A number of domestic flights were grounded on Friday due to the unfavorable weather condition brought by Tropical Depression Dodong.

In an advisory, the Manila International Airport said flights of Cebu Pacific to and from Tuguegarao, Cagayan were canceled. Cagayan is currently placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1. — Rosette Adel

'Dodong' maintains strength, moves north northwestward over northwestern Cagayan

Tropical Depression Dodong continues to retain its strength as it progresses in a north northwestward direction, currently situated over the northwestern area of Cagayan, PAGASA says.

In its 11 a.m. weather bulletin, Dodong's center was estimated to be in the vicinity of Allacapan, Cagayan. The tropical depression maintains its north northwestward movement at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour (kph).

Dodong's maximum sustained winds near the center reached 45 kph, with gustiness peaking at 75 kph.

'Dodong' makes landfall in Isabela, Signal No. 1 raised over parts of Luzon

The low pressure area spotted in northern Luzon is now Tropical Depression "Dodong," the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced.

According to an advisory by the state weather bureau, Dodong made landfall in Dinapique, Isabela early Friday morning, packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gustiness of 75 kph. — Cristina Chi
