'Goring' exits PAR

PAGASA says Super Typhoon Goring has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility. 

In its 11 a.m. weather bulletin, Goring was spotted 265 kilometers west of Itbayat, Batanes.

Moving west northwestward at 10 kilometers per hour, it has maximum sustained winds of 195 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 240 kph.

'Goring' continues to maintain strength

The state weather bureau reported that Super Typhoon Goring continues to maintain its strength as it approaches the northwestern boundary of the Philippine Area of Responsibility. 

As of 4 p.m., its center of the eye  was estimated based on all available data at 185 kilomters West of Itbayat, Batanes (20.5°North, 120.1°East).

It packs a maximum sustained winds of 195 km per hours near the center, gustiness of up to 240 km/h, and central pressure of 920 hPa.

'Goring' maintains strength anew

The state weather bureau reported that Super Typhoon Goring maintains its strength as it moves west northwestward over the sea west southwest of Basco, Batanes. 

As of 10 a.m., its center of the eye was estimated based on all available data at 125 kilometers West Southwest of Basco, Batanes (20.2°North, 120.8°East).

It packs maximum sustained winds of 195 km per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 240 km/h, and central pressure of 920 hPa.

'Goring' threatens northern Luzon as another storm approaches

Super Typhoon Goring (international name: Saola) will continue to threaten the northern part of the country on its way out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility as another cyclone approaches, the state weather bureau said Wednesday morning. 

In its 8 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said Goring was last spotted 90 kilometers west southwest of Basco in Batanes with peak winds of 195 km per hour near the center and gusts of up to 240 kph.  — Gaea Katreena Cabico

'Goring' leaves Balintang Channel as it moves north of WPS

PAGASA says Super Typhoon Goring left the Balintang Channel and is now heading towards the northern portion of the West Philippine Sea.

In its 8 a.m. weather bulletin, Goring was spotted 90 kilometers west southwest of Basco, Batanes.

Moving west northwestward at 15 kilometers per her, it has maximum sustained winds of 195 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 240 kph.

Signal No. 4 raised as ‘Goring’ intensifies

State weather bureau PAGASA placed the northeast portion of Babuyan Islands under Wind Signal No. 4 Tuesday afternoon as Typhoon Goring (international name: Saola) slightly intensified. 

Goring was last seen 165 kilometers to the east of Calayan in Cagayan, with peak winds increasing to 165 kph near the center and gusts increasing to 205 kph, PAGASA said in its 5 p.m. bulletin. — Gaea Katreena Cabico

Goring persists in strength

Pagasa reports that Typhoon Goring persists in strength as it moves west northwestward.

As of 1 p.m., its center of the eye was estimated based on all available data at 175 kilometers East Northeast of Aparri, Cagayan or 190 km East Southeast of Calayan, Cagayan (18.8°North, 123.2°East).

It packs maximum sustained winds of 155 km per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 190 km/h, and central pressure of 950 hPa.

Wind signals were raised in parts of Northern Luzon due to the typhoon.

Signal No. 4 in extreme northern Luzon likely due to ‘Goring’ — PAGASA

State weather bureau PAGASA said Tuesday morning that it may hoist Signal No. 4 over extreme northern Luzon as the cyclone continued to head to the Luzon Strait.

The typhoon was last spotted 220 kilometers to the east of Aparri in Cagayan, with maximum peak winds of 155 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 190 kph. It was heading north northwest at 10 kph. — Gaea Katreena Cabico

The state weather bureau said that Typhoon Goring maintains strength as it moves northward over the Philippine sea.

As of 4 p.m., its center was estimated based on all available data, including those from Baler and Daet Weather Radars, at 260 kilometers East of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan (17.6°North, 124.2°Eeast)

Goring packs maximum sustained winds of 155 km per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 190 km/h, and central pressure of 950 hPa.
