PAGASA says Typhoon Jenny has further intensified while it passed very close to Orchid Island near Taiwan.
As of 4 a.m. on Thursday, Jenny was found 140 kilometers north northwest of Itbayat, Batanes.
It is moving westward at 10 kilometers per hour, with peak winds of 175 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 215 kph.

- northern portion of Apayao (Calanasan, Pudtol, Luna, Santa Marcela, Flora)
- northern portion of Ilocos Norte (Piddig, Bangui, Vintar, Burgos, Pagudpud, Bacarra, Adams, Pasuquin, Carasi, Dumalneg, Laoag City)
Jenny is expected to make landfall over the southern portion of Taiwan on Thursday morning and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between Thursday afternoon and evening.
