'Pepito' exits PAR

PAGASA said that the center of Severe Tropical Storm Pepito exited the Philippine area of responsibility at 12 noon.

Once a super typhoon, Typhoon Pepito (international name: Man-yi) is poised for a midday exit on Monday, Nov. 18, after heavily battering central and northern parts of Luzon.

Despite Pepito's weakening from "super typhoon" category to still powerful typhoon-level winds as it traversed land over the weekend, PAGASA maintained cyclone warning signals over parts of Central and Northern Luzon.
