Voice for Change is Miss Universe's special award for honoring contestants' advocacies that highlight their use of beauty, intelligence and compassion to shape the future.
Each Voice for Change video about the contestants' advocacies were reviewed by the official Miss Universe committee and an independent Voice for Change committee. Fan votes are also determined for the finalists and winners - "a system that makes sure that their voices are heard clearly and celebrated fairly."
