Poll workers to get extra P1,000 honorarium for 2025 elections

With the Commission on Elections' request approved, 758,549 poll workers are set to be granted an extra P1,000 honorarium.

This, along with the previously approved P2,000 across-the-board pay hike for teachers and poll workers, brings the total increase to P3,000 each.

Bam, Kiko set for Senate comeback as Comelec proclaims winners

Former senators Bam Aquino and Kiko Pangilinan secured their Senate return with their official proclamation as winners on Saturday, May 17 — a comeback powered by the Pink movement and public weariness of the Marcos-Duterte feud. 

Aquino and Pangilinan, who ran under the "KiBam" alliance, pulled off surprise upsets in the midterm elections on Monday (May 12), finishing second and fifth, respectively, despite trailing in most pre-election surveys.

4 sibling duos in the Senate: The Tulfos, Villars, Cayetanos and Ejercito-Estradas

The next Senate is shaping up to be a family affair, with one-third of its members soon to come from four sets of siblings. This follows the victory of relatives of incumbent senators in the 2025 senatorial race.

Alongside the Villars, Cayetanos and Estrada-Ejercito brothers, the Senate will soon include two Tulfos, bringing the total to four political families represented in the 20th Congress.

Bong Go tops Senate race, receives certificate of proclamation

Topnotcher Bong Go, known for his close ties to the Duterte administration, closed the proclamation ceremony by receiving his certificate of proclamation as the leading Senate candidate. 

Go secured the highest number of votes in the 2025 senatorial race, garnering 27.12 million votes nationwide.

Youth advocate Bam Aquino returns to Senate, finishes 2nd

Bam Aquino accepted his certificate of proclamation as the second placer in the Senate race. 

The returning senator, known for his advocacy on education and youth empowerment, was a surprise strong finisher after previously trailing outside the Magic 12 in pre-election surveys.

Bato dela Rosa accepts proclamation, secures return to Senate

Sen. Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa officially secured another term in the Senate after receiving his certificate of proclamation from the Commission on Elections, following his third-place finish in the 2025 senatorial race.
