Official decision: Joshua Van def. Rei Tsuruya via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Joshua Van is a serious prospect in this division. Rei Tsuruya was just too one dimensional and was unable to handle the striking and takedown defense of Van.

Van hunts him down.

He's trying to land something big with the last 30 seconds. He drops Tsuruya with a check left hook, but Tsuruya gets right up. Round ends and Van wins the third round and the fight, 29-28 on my scorecard.

Van lands a one-two.

Van's striking is lightyears ahead of Tsuruya's. Even so, Van hasn't been able to pile on the pressure like he usually does and land bombs. Tsuruya has managed to disrupt him enough to make him more of a pot-shot artist in this fight. The fight is stopped for another low blow on Tsuruya. The replay shows it's a body kick and the action is quickly restarted.
