That's it everybody! Thanks so much for following along! We'll have some more on The Verge shortly, with analysis of Musk's comments. And you can follow more speakers from Code with the #codecon hashtag on Twitter!

Are we in a simulation, Swisher asks. "I mean, my heart says no and my brain says yes."

Musk is "surprised by the public sentiment against nuclear" power. He doesn't think we should make new plants but "I don't think we should shut down the ones that are operating safely" as Germany recently did and ended up using coal.

He believes we need "significant, local power generation at houses." He says it's "a necessary part of the solution."

He says that will put pressure on the grid, a problem above and beyond just having sustainable ways to make the electricity in the first place.

Last question, Musk says that "the electricity demand .. if we shift our transport to electric, then our electricity demand ... more than doubles."

Elon on accidents and deaths due to self-driving: "The 10% that do die with autonomy are still going to sue you. The 90% that are still living aren't even going to know it's the reason they're alive."

"The reality of doing the right thing matters more than the perception of doing the right thing," he says about pursuing Full Self Driving.

Elon is asked about the messy middle we're in with self-driving that isn't fully autonomous. "The transition period with new technology is always a little bumpy."

"The truth is that people are actually not great at driving these two-ton death machines."

About the Yoke steering ..yoke: "it's like something different, and people sometimes don't like the different thing." Then much crosstalk. Anyway Musk is Team Yoke.
